April Meeting – Looking Back and Planning Ahead

Hi ladies! We had a great turn-out at last month’s meeting, with MeRa Koh inspiring us with her story, her passion, and her tireless drive to support and empower everyone she encounters. And in the spirit of being empowered (and tireless), we’d like to devote this month’s meeting to regrouping, reconnecting, and rejuvenating our club!

We have a lot of amazing energy in the group and we want to be sure that each member, new and old, is getting what they want from our meetings.  Therefore, we’d like to spend the first half of this month’s meeting taking a look at what we’ve done in the last 2 years and talking about where we’d like to go. Please come with ideas about the types of speakers, topics, events and any organizational suggestions you have!

For the second half of the meeting, we’d like to spend some time getting to know one another in smaller groups. For this portion, please bring THREE photos that you’ve taken in the last year. The photos should represent:

  1. A shot you’re really proud of
  2. A shot showing something you’d like to work on (e.g. lighting, composition, blur, focus, depth of field, subject matter, processing, color, etc.)
  3. A wild card — anything you’d like to share!

We’ll share our photos with one another and give/receive feedback in small groups. And even if you don’t bring photos, please stay and join the groups in sharing!

We look forward to seeing you on Monday!

Meeting Details:

  1. Oh boy, this is today. And, only today I found out about this group and blog… I’d love to attend a future meeting… How do I do that? Just show up?
Also, do you have members who arrive from the Eastisde? (That’s where I live.)
    Thanks! Nurit
