How to take that photo you saw on Pinterest!

Recently, one of our Mamas With Cameras Workshop alum’s sent us a note and asked us how to replicate a photo she’d seen on Pinterest. We remembered that last year, a few of our Mamas, including the fabulous Carrie Yuan (also one of our alums!) had taken this very same photo. She graciously shared her photo and settings. You can try this at home! Switch your camera to “M” or Manual Mode so that you can control all the settings.

Her settings were:

Aperture: f/1.8,

Shutter speed: 1/160

ISO: 1600

Try it at home! If the image looks to dark, then slow your shutter speed down. If it looks too bright, then speed it up a bit! If you try the challenge,  post the results on the Mamas With Cameras Group on Facebook!

As a reminder, our free monthly meetup is this coming Monday, November 19th at 6:30pm at Good Shepherd Center Room 223! All interested Mamas are welcome! We are doing Holiday Shooting Tips with guest speaker, lifestyle photographer Lindsay Kennedy. Hope you can join us for our last official meetup of the year!

Also, if you are thinking of registering for our last Introduction to Digital Photography Workshop of the year on December 8th, definitely register before next Tuesday, when Mamas With Cameras is going to be featured on KOMO TV news! Yippee!!! 🙂 Another post on that coming soon!

Happy shooting! Can’t wait to see what you post on the Facebook Group!
